Analysis of the Lok Sabha Election 2024

The 2024 Lok Sabha election in India, one of the most monumental events under the Modi government, is underway from April 19 to June 1. With 970 million voters and a cost projected at 1 lakh crore, it's the second-longest election after 1951-52, conducted in seven phases for fairness. This election also includes state legislative elections in Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha, and Sikkim, along with 25 by-elections. The use of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) ensures efficiency, while the Election Commission of India has invited 75 delegates from 23 countries to observe the process, enhancing transparency. Despite these efforts, challenges remain, such as a 33% non-voting population and concerns over education and literacy.
