Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand

Jim Corbett, Corbett National Park holds a significant place in India’s conservation history. Established in 1936 as Hailey National Park, it was later renamed in honor of Jim Corbett, who played a pivotal role in creating awareness about wildlife conservation in the region. Corbett’s efforts to protect the Bengal tiger, which was on the brink of extinction, led to the establishment of the park, making it one of the oldest and most prestigious national parks in India.
