Difficulty & Acclimatization
The trek doesn't require technical climbing, but it does reach high altitudes, and altitude sickness is a real concern.
Two acclimatization days (Namche & Dingboche) are recommended.
Good fitness and some prior trekking experience are helpful.
Accommodation & Meals
Basic teahouses offer twin rooms, shared toilets, and simple but hearty meals.
Meals include dal bhat, noodles, fried rice, momo, soups, and sometimes pasta/pizza.
Higher up, choices are limited and prices increase.
Tips for Trekkers
Book flights and permits early in peak seasons.
Go slow to avoid altitude sickness—"climb high, sleep low".
Travel with a guide or group for safety, especially if it's your first high-altitude trek.
Keep some buffer days in case of Lukla flight delays.
Carry some cash in rupees – no ATMs beyond Namche.
