Palm Oil Shipments Reach 20-Month High, Boosting India's Edible Oil Imports by 4.8% on July
The total rise in palm oil imports in July was driven by a spike in the import of palm oil. The Solvent Extractors' Association of India (SEA) reports that, in July 2024, India procured 18.40 lakh tonnes of edible oil, which was up 4.8% from 17.55 lakh tonnes in the same month the previous year.
