The league features six teams representing different cities in Pakistan, including Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Multan Sultans, Quetta Gladiators, and Peshawar Zalmi. The PSL is one of the most popular cricket leagues in the world and has helped increase the profile of Pakistani cricket both domestically and internationally.
The PSL 8 will kick off on February 13. Lahore Qalandars is the defending champion of PSL 8. The final of PSL 7 was played between Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans. Lahore Qalandars won by 42 runs in PSL 7. Rawalpindi will stage 11 fixtures, Karachi and Lahore will host nine matches each, whereas Multan will have five home games.
