The Shoulder Physiotherapy Workshop is a practical rehabilitation workshop for physiotherapists, rehabilitation therapists, and trainers wanting to an expanded appreciation for shoulder rehabilitation. This is not another theoretical or academic course; this is intended to be an experiential workshop providing demonstrations, guided practice, and practice of clinical cases in small groups. In this program, participants will be able to practice assessment tools and mobility testing, as well as evidence-based treatment/management methods to address common shoulder disorders/conditions such as rotator cuff tears, frozen shoulder, shoulder impingement syndrome, and shoulder instability.
This program also includes prevention and performance based rehabilitation strategies to help prepare participants to use these skills with clinical populations as well as athletic populations. The experiential learning format allows for physiotherapists and rehabilitation professionals to develop confidence in applying the hands-on techniques associated with manual therapy, corrective exercise and strengthening protocols, for immediate translation into practice. By the end of the workshop, participants will have a well-rounded skillset to help improve outcomes for their patients; reduce recovery time; and enhance the functional performance of their clients and patients.
