New WS-Discovery DDoS attack is yet another instance of a UDP reflection attack
The WS-Discovery DDoS attack is yet another instance of a UDP based reflection attack like NTP and UPnP DDoS attack that are essentially all based on UDP. Mitigating these attacks is most effective with services that can deal with the volume these attacks generate – usually Scrubbing Center services and / or Content Distribution Networks (CDN).
